Joining the Long Ryders and the Coal Porters as the latest in a fine succession of Sid Griffin-lead country-rock outfits, Western Electric released their self-titled debut in March 2000. The generally well-received collection was notable for melding the 12-string jangle of classic period Byrds with strange audio blurbs and various psychedelic rock elements.
