Don't Look Now, But....
Don’t look now, but it’s sneaking up on us.
Autumn doesn’t officially arrive for a few more days, but the early signs are in abundance. The leaves are turning into incredible fall colors. The reds are more brilliant than I can ever remember seeing in the past. Mother Nature sure has a wonderful paint brush this year.
Although everyone looks forward to summer, most people I talk with agree that their favourite season is autumn. They seem to like the idea of warm days (you can still get by wearing shorts) and those crisp nights (great for sleeping).
I first noticed the changing colors nearly three weeks ago when I visited the state of Maine. It was still August, but the nights were cool enough to encourage the transformation.
It’s a great time of the year. There were will be fall fund raising auctions where you can fill your pantry and church suppers to fill your tummy.
Get out and enjoy as much as you can, because you know what season comes next!
