Mandy's Musings

Trip to the Wildlife Park

I found myself at the Shubenacadie Wildlife Park over the weekend -- and, I'm ashamed to say, it was my first time in over 20 years.

But, I definitely won't let so much time pass until my next visit -- it was a blast!

The hubby, my bro, his girlfriend and my cuter than anything niece visited the Wildlife Park Sunday, so, it was nice and cool, and not too sunny, which was perfect! That's the kind of weather that keeps the animals outside, and in sight! While I enjoyed checking out the animals, I LOVED watching my niece enjoying them. She's just two weeks shy of her very first birthday, so, it was her very first visit -- and she wasn't afraid of one animal -- not even the peacocks, which came right up to us.

Why, Mr. Peacock, are you flirting with me?

We, of course, fed some animals -- and little Serenity fed the deer herself.

I'm so proud of her -- she didn't try to put ONE food pellet in her mouth, although we had to discourage her from sharing HER snack with the deer, lol.

So, if you get the chance, even if you've been there before, I would recommend getting out to the Shubenacadie Wildlife Park this summer. It's definitely affordable, the animals are fun, the wetlands centre is super interactive and the overall atmosphere is awesome.

I don't know about you, but, I think the bird on the right looks like Grandpa Munster....
