Camp Day!!
It’s Tim Horton’s Camp Day! Buy a cup of coffee and you’ll help send a kid to camp.
This past weekend I visited the Tim Horton’s Children’s Camp in Tatamagouche. It was their open house. I was there many years ago when it first opened in the late 80’s. The only thing I really remember from back then was crossing the airplane runway to get to the camp. The runway this past weekend became a parking lot as we waiting for the big Tim’s bus to bring us into the camp.
What a great day we had at Sunday’s open house….boat rides on the Strait, archery (Liam actually hit the target!), face painting, games, kayaking, Tim snacks, and tours of the camp. And it was all free! For the hundreds who came out, it really was a phenomenal day. It was Tim Horton’s way of saying thanks for your support over the years.
It’s because of events such as Camp Day that made the Children’s Camp a reality. Kids who ordinarily don’t have an opportunity to attend can go with your support.
So today, buy a coffee, make an online donation at SendaKidToCamp.com, or text the word CAMP to 45678. Your support really does make a difference!
