Pancake Supper
The Old Barns Board of Stewards, Trustees and Clifton 4H Club are having a Pancake Supper on Sunday, March 24 from 4PM-6PM at the Old Barns United Church. The menu: pancakes, Maple Syrup, sausage, baked beans, biscuits and beverage. Adults $12, age 7 and under $5. Live entertainment by Highway 236. -
Milford & District Lions 47th Annual Big Breakfast
On Saturday, March 30 from 7AM-10:30AM at the Milford Recreation Hall. Adults $10, children 5-12 $5, under 5 free. Tickets at the door. Menu: pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausages, ham, toast, juice, coffee, tea. -
Food For The Ears - Colchester Food Bank Fundraiser
All ages fundraiser concert on Saturday, April 6 at the Truro Best Western - Glengarry called Food For The Ears. Proceeds will be going to the Colchester Food Bank. Admission is $15 or pay what you can and children under 12 get it free until 7PM! Payment will be at the door with cash and e-transfer both accepted. The concert doors will open at 2PM and the show will start at 3PM. From 3PM-6PM it will be a rock/folk concert, intermission, then from 7PM-10PM there will be a punk set. 11 bands from Truro and Halifax will be playing. There will be snacks and drinks sold, a silent auction, 50/50 draw, and art/jewelry/merch vendors. -
Canada's Longest Running Country Music Jamboree
At the Nine Mile River Community Centre on Sunday, April 14 from 2PM-4:30PM. Host band is Highway 14 along with a variety of performers. Admission is $10, 12 years and under $5. There will be 50/50 and canteen services. Proceeds for the Community Hall Operating expenses. -
Diane 2nd Annual Author Read & Book Shop
The East Hants Writers’ Group that meets at the Elmsdale Library is hosting the 2nd Annual Author Read & Book Shop on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5. Come out to support local authors, buy their books, listen to them read. Books for children will be read from 10AM-12PM each day, then other genres, including fantasy, murder mystery and history take to the stage. Everyone is welcome to participate in Open Mic Poetry Night. Free admission. -
